Packers have first look at new uniforms ahead of season opener

Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson will unveil the new green and gold uniforms for their 2016 season opener against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, NFL Network’s Michael Silver reported.

The uniforms will feature a traditional NFL logo on the left shoulder, with the Packers name on the right.

It will be the first time the team has worn a uniform featuring the team name on its shoulder.

The team also unveiled a new helmet logo on Tuesday, and it will feature green and blue accents that are similar to those on the Falcons’ helmets.

The Packers will wear their new uniforms against the Falcons on Nov. 8 at Lambeau Field.
